Mikel Arteta and Edu ‘discussing’ superstar 2024 signing as ‘documents prepared’ for exit

All the latest Arsenal transfer news and rumours as Mikel Arteta’s men prepare to take on Manchester United.

Arsenal are now preparing for a tough-looking clash with Manchester United as they look to return to winning ways.

Mikel Arteta’s men were forced to settle for a point last weekend when they drew at home against Fulham. They are now preparing for a top four clash with United, but not before this Friday’s transfer deadline, Edu and Mikel Arteta have plenty of work to do as they look to offload unwanted players while also considering whether they need an extra man at the back.

With that in mind, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding the Emirates Stadium.

Osimhen interest

Arsenal are already said to be internally discussing a possible 2024 signing.

According to Football Transfers, Arteta and Edu are already speaking about the possible signing of Napoli superstar Victor Osimhen. Osimhen is likely to cost more than £100million next summer, just like this summer when clubs came knocking, and the Gunners are said to be keen.

Though, much will surely depend on how Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah do in the front line this season. Finances will also be a question mark after huge spending from Arsenal this summer, with Financial Fair Play likely a concern without some sort of title success.

Tavares exit

Arsenal are set to conclude the loan exit of Nuno Tavares, according to reports.

Fabrizio Romano has tweeted: “Nuno Tavares will sign documents as new Nottingham Forest player today. Understand Mallorca have asked for the conditions of Rob Holding deal today - negotiations are ongoing. Possible solutions in PL remain after Luton Town call on Monday, Mallorca trying to find a way now.”

It has been reported that the Tavares loan deal includes a £12million option to buy in case Forest want to make the deal permanent at the end of the season.
