All the latest Arsenal transfer news and rumours as the Gunners await the return of club action.

Arsenal’s season remains on pause as the 2022 FIFA World Cup plays out in Qatar.

The Gunners have enjoyed a stunning campaign so far, topping the Premier League with a five-point advantage over Manchester City. Mikel Arteta’s men have won all-but two of their games so far and they will be looking to maintain their strong start when club football resumes later in this month. In the meantime, the Gunners will be assessing potential signings ahead of the January transfer window.

With that in mind, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding the Emirates Stadium.

Marmoush opportunity

Arsenal could get their opportunity to land Wolfsburg winger Omar Marmoush this January.

The Gunners, along with Tottenham, were linked with a move for the 23-year-old recently, and it seems likely they will add a winger in the winter window. An update from Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung has claimed contract talks between Wolfsburg and Marmoush have now stalled, potentially leading to a sale.

That’s because Marmoush is out of contract at the end of this season, and Wolfsburg may move to sell him to avoid missing out on a fee. The winger has previously been valued at £17million, but his contract situation could lead to that fee being reduced.

Kudus option

World Cup players are always being linked with a transfer, and one of the latest is Ghana star Mohammed Kudus, who has enjoyed a fine World Cup campaign so far.

Kudus scored twice in a win over South Korea, and it’s now claimed Arsenal are keeping an eye ahead of the winter window. The midfielder has 10 goals in 47 league appearances for Ajax, and Sky Sports speculate he could be an option for Arsenal or Manchester United. Arsenal do need a midfielder this winter, but Arteta may look for more of a defensive-minded midfielder.
