Those getting off the train at London Bridge might not realise how close they are to one of the world’s oldest operating theatres.

The Old Operating Theatre and Herb Garret is actually open to the public and serves as a museum of surgical history.

I decided to climb the many steps to the attic and take a tour around this little-known London attraction.
