Rise in visits to A&E at the Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare Trust

More patients visited A&E at the Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare Trust last month, with demand rising well above the levels seen over the same period last year.

More patients visited A&E at the Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare Trust last month, with demand rising well above the levels seen over the same period last year.

NHS England figures show 6,134 patients visited minor injury units at Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare NHS Trust in December.

That was a rise of 19% on the 5,145 visits recorded during November, and 84% more than the 3,337 patients seen in December 2021.

The figures show attendances were above the levels seen two years ago – in December 2020, there were 2,381 visits to minor injury units run by the Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare Trust.

Across England, A&E departments received 2.3 million visits last month.

That was an increase of 5% compared to November, and 22% more than the 1.9 million seen during December 2021.
