A Newham takeaway has been handed a new five-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

East Ocean, a takeaway at 275 Prince Regent Lane, Plaistow, London was given the maximum score after assessment on May 25, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Newham's 317 takeaways with ratings, 115 (36%) have ratings of five and just four have zero ratings.
