A Merton takeaway has been handed a new five-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

The Shak, a takeaway at Imperial Fields, Bishopsford Road, Morden was given the maximum score after assessment on January 6, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Merton's 113 takeaways with ratings, 69 (61%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
