Good news as food hygiene ratings awarded to 15 Kensington and Chelsea restaurants

A Food Standards Agency rating sticker on a window of a restaurant in central London. A huge variation in food hygiene standards remains across the UK, with one in five high or medium-risk food outlets failing to meet standards, according to a study.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 15 of Kensington and Chelsea’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

The following ratings have been given to 15 restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Urban Greens at Kensington Arcade, 123 Kensington High Street, London; rated on February 7

• Rated 5: Caffe Concerto at 88-90 Kensington High Street, London; rated on February 5

• Rated 5: Borshtch N Tears at 46 Beauchamp Place, London; rated on February 2

• Rated 5: Como Garden at 37-39 Kensington High Street, London; rated on February 2

• Rated 5: Maria G's at Coe House, 4 Warwick Lane, London; rated on February 2

• Rated 5: Prezzo at 35a Kensington High Street, London; rated on February 2

• Rated 5: Tappo Enoteca Wine Bar at Ground Floor, 299 Westbourne Grove, London; rated on February 2

• Rated 5: Zuaya at Basement And Ground Floor Brasenose House, 35 Kensington High Street, London; rated on February 2

It means that of Kensington and Chelsea's 882 similar establishments with ratings, 761 (86%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
