Hillingdon road closures: seven for motorists to avoid this week

Hillingdon's motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Hillingdon's motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing holdups of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M25, from 10.30pm January 15 to 5am January 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 4 to junction 4B, Lane closures for CAT1 barrier repair.

M4, from 10pm January 9 to 5.30am January 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 4B to junction 5, Lane closures for bearing inspections.

M25, from 3pm December 15 2022 to 3pm December 15 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 15, Hard shoulder closure for CAT 1 embankment erosion.

And a further four closures will begin over the next seven days:

M25, from 10pm January 19 to 5.30am January 21, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 4B to junction 5, carriageway closure and link road closures for M4 SMP works, diversion via National Highways and TFL roads.

M25, from 9.30pm January 20 to 6am January 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 southbound to M40 northbound, link road, Lane closures for maintenance works.

M4, from 10pm January 21 to 5.30am January 23, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 3 to junction 4B, Lane closures and entry slip road closure for CCTV works, diversion via National Highways roads.

M4, from 10pm January 26 to 5am January 27, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 4B to junction 4, Lane closures and dedicated exit slip road closure for electrical works, diversion via National Highways roads.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
