House prices increased by 1.5% in Enfield in June, new figures show.

The boost contributes to the longer-term trend, which has seen property prices in the area achieve 11.5% annual growth.

The average Enfield house price in June was £432,250.4662, Land Registry figures show – a 1.5% increase on May.

Over the month, the picture was less good than that across London, where prices increased 2.5322733%, and Enfield underperformed compared to the 4.4989563% rise for the UK as a whole.

Over the last year, the average sale price of property in Enfield rose by £45,000 – putting the area third among London’s 33 local authorities for annual growth.

The best annual growth in the region was in Harrow, where property prices increased on average by 16.7%, to £522,000. At the other end of the scale, properties in City of London lost 13.2% of their value, giving an average price of £756,000.

Owners of terraced houses saw the biggest improvement in property prices in Enfield in June – they increased 2%, to £460,890.8232 on average. Over the last year, prices rose by 13.4%.

The most expensive properties in London were in Kensington and Chelsea – £1.2 million on average, and 2.9 times as much as in Enfield. Kensington and Chelsea properties cost 3.9 times as much as homes in Barking and Dagenham (£319,000 average), at the other end of the scale.
