Central and North West London Trust was caring for four coronavirus patients in hospital as of Tuesday, figures show.

NHS England data shows the number of people being treated in hospital for Covid-19 by 8am on October 19 was down from eight on the same day the previous week.

There were eight beds occupied by Covid-19 patients four weeks ago in Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust.

Across England there were 6,099 people in hospital with Covid as of October 19, with 733 of them in mechanical ventilation beds.

The number of Covid-19 patients hospitalised nationally has increased by 10% in the last four weeks, while the number on mechanical ventilators has decreased by 5%.

The figures also show that four new Covid patients were admitted to hospital in Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust in the week to October 17. This was up from one in the previous seven days.
