Oxleas Trust was caring for three coronavirus patients in hospital as of Tuesday, figures show.

NHS England data shows no people were being treated in hospital for Covid-19 a week earlier, on August 3, and there were none four weeks ago.

Across England there were 5,096 people in hospital with Covid as of August 10, with 782 of them in mechanical ventilation beds.

The number of Covid-19 patients hospitalised nationally increased by 72% in the last four weeks, while the number on mechanical ventilators has increased by 66%.

The figures also show that no new Covid patients were admitted to hospital in Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust in the week to August 8.
