Bexley road closures: one for motorists to avoid this week

Bexley's motorists will have a road closure to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And it is expected to cause severe delays – with drivers facing a holdup of at least 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure is due to start this week:

• A2, from 10pm January 16 to 5am January 21, severe delays (more than 30 minutes): A2 westbound, Dartford Heath to Black Prince, carriageway closure for carriageway works, diversion via local authority Roads.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
