From the Proms to unlimited Beavertown beer: Five events on in London this weekend - August 5-7

Summer is well underway and with the warmer weather set to last over the weekend, it’s the perfect time to get out and about.

There’s lots of great events happening across the capital from BBC Proms to the Beavertown Brewery birthday celebrations.

BBC Proms 2022

Beavertown Brewery 10th birthday celebrations

Beavertown Brewery is celebrating its 10th birthday and is throwing a once-in-a-decade party to celebrate.

Based at its Tottenham taproom, the event sees a line-up of great music, incredible food and great beers.

The event is perfect for beer lovers, with the ticket price including a main dish from the Beavertown menu, unlimited beer and a goodie bag filled with bespoke merch.

Guests will also be able to be the first to try two brand new beers that will be limited-edition to the taproom.

River Stage 2022

The Hofesh Shechter Company is taking over the National Theatre’s River Stage as part of the free summer festival.

Happening on London’s South Bank, the award-winning dance company invites audiences to performances of its latest work, live music, workshops and films.

There’s also a chance to learn new skills with contemporary dance and percussion workshops that are open to all ages.

Visitors to the event can also find a tasty KERB market alongside the performance stages with a host of incredible street food.

The Luna Cinema

There’s no better way to spend a summer evening than under the stars, watching a good movie.

The Luna Cinema is returning to Kensington Palace with a weekend of great films, including The Greatest Showman and Rocketman.

Tasty food will be available, as well as a full bar, plus brand new seating, including deckchairs for two and VIP sofas.

The capacity of the events are strictly limited and tickets must be purchased in advance to attend the event.
