London's iconic skyline can be seen from a number of different spots around the city, but none compare to the view from the top of the O2. The venue's Up At the O2 sees thrill seekers rewarded for their climb across its rooftop with breathtaking views of the city.

While the arena is no doubt familiar to many up and down the country for hosting music concerts, live comedy and sports events, the venue is also home to a range of other unique experiences. As well as getting the opportunity to trek over the arena's rooftop as part of Up At The O2, daredevil natured individuals can also try out indoor skydiving at iFly, while those looking for more chill activities can have a go at mini-golf and more at Boom Battle Bar.

The Up At The O2 experience first launched in 2012, and over a decade on, it still offers the same unforgettable panoramic views of the city for those who make the climb to the top. During its now 11-year run, more than 550,000 people have walked across the 52-metre walkway that spans across the venue's rooftop.

Accompanied by expert guides, the walk starts off steep but gets more level closer to the top of the arena. Walking on what feels like a bouncy castle, your legs may soon feel like jelly as you progress up the rooftop.

If you're daring enough to look back on the path, you will be able to get a preview of the sights awaiting guests at the top. In total, the walk up the venue's rooftop takes around 15 minutes or so, but this, of course, depends on the pace of your group of climbers.

The summit is suspended 52 metres above ground level and offers a wide-ranging view of the city. Surrounded by the River Thames on its own peninsula, the venue is away from the hustle and bustle of the inner city but offers a view of it and more further out.

Guests get around 10 or so minutes at the top to rest up before making their way back down the other side of the arena's rooftop. As well as marvelling at the capital's skyline, there's also plenty of time to take some memorable snaps.

Back on the pathway to the bottom of the arena, climbers begin to tip-toe their way down, with the steeper sections, in particular, more of a challenge. Your grip on the handrail may also tighten at the point as the skyline views can be seen more on the way down.

After conquering the rooftop trek, you'll undoubtedly work up an appetite. However, luckily, there are a range of different restaurants at the arena to curb your hunger. From big names to smaller chains, the venue has a variety of different foods on offer for guests.

How to book tickets for Up At The O2

Those wanting to try the climb over the iconic event arena for themselves can book their own slot through the O2 website. Hopeful climbers can choose from three different times of the day to complete the rooftop trek.

Daytime climbs ensure a clear view of the city from the top of the venue, while sunset hours provide an aesthetic perspective of the capital's skyline. Twilight climbs are also offered as guests take to the top of the O2 to watch London come to life for the evening.

Ticket pricing for the Up At The O2 experience starts at £35. However, as stated on the booking website, the cost of adult tickets may be "adjusted when adding or subtracting child tickets to meet minimum requirements."
