National Geographic Traveller Food Festival has announced its line up for 2023, including MasterChef judge John Torode.

National Geographic Traveller (UK) has unveiled the first wave of chefs and writers scheduled to appear at its flagship National Geographic Traveller (UK) Food Festival this summer, with MasterChef judges John Torode and Anna Haugh confirmed for the line-up.

Torode, who first appeared at the inaugural event in 2019, will return with a chef demonstration on the Saturday of the two-day festival, while Irish restaurateur Haugh, who joined the cast of MasterChef: The Professionals in 2022, will appear on the Sunday. The event, which returns to London’s Business Design Centre this summer from Saturday, July 15 to Sunday, July 16, will also feature Main Stage demonstrations by restaurateur Asma Khan, food and drink writer Melissa Thompson and writer and restaurateur Thomasina Miers.

They’ll be joined by cookbook author Ixta Belfrage and writer and restaurateur Ravinder Bhogal, as well as Sarit Packer and Itamar Srulovich, the husband-and-wife team behind the Honey & Co restaurants. Meanwhile, the first few names have also been announced for the Speakers’ Corner stage, including Irina Georgescu, Mandy Yin and Karan Gokani, with more to be revealed for both stages over the coming weeks.

Glen Mutel, editor of Food by National Geographic Traveller (UK), said: “With only four months to go until our third Food Festival, it’s great to see the line-up taking shape with our trademark mix of established names and exciting new talent, representing a mixture of different approaches, cooking styles and culinary influences. What’s more, there’s plenty still to come.”

Hosted by award-winning magazines National Geographic Traveller (UK) and Food by National Geographic Traveller (UK), the  food festival invites visitors to taste the world and broaden their palates, with tasting opportunities on the festival floor, culinary masterclasses showcasing specific cuisines, wine tutorials, live demonstrations from big-name chefs and interviews with acclaimed cookbook authors.

Tickets are available now for the 2023 food festival via the National Geographic Traveller (UK) website.Tickets are priced at £16 per person, including booking fee.

All tickets include entry to the festival, with access to all interviews, Q&As, panel sessions and chef demonstrations. A limited number of tickets to the Wine & Spirit Theatre are available at the price of £6 per session, with up to two drinks tastings included.
