Soon, people up and down the country will celebrate a four day weekend, courtesy for the Queen’s Jubilee bank holiday.

In 2022, Her Majesty made history by becoming the first monarch to ever reach the 70 year milestone, and amid the celebrations, people will have a long weekend.

As it is with most bank holidays, supermarkets may alter their opening hours. This was the case for the Easter bank holiday weekend and the May Day bank holiday.

When is the upcoming bank holiday?

To celebrate the upcoming Queen’s Jubilee, people will get a four day weekend. The bank holiday dates are Thursday, 2 June and Friday, 3 June.

Are supermarkets altering their operating times?

It’s commonplace for supermarkets to alter opening times, allowing people more time off to spend more time with their friends and family.

Many sectors also choose to alter their hours, such as bin collections and more.
