Sam Fender Finsbury Park 2022: All you need to know including how to get tickets and presale access

Sam Fender is set to headline Finsbury Park next summer, in what will be the biggest show of his career.

The north London venue - which has previously hosted Wireless Festival, Liam Gallagher and Queens of the Stone Age - will have a full day of support sets before the Geordie singer-songwriter.

This will include Irish post-punk rockers Fontaines DC, Indie singer-songwriter Declan McKenna, Beabadoobee and Goat Girl.

    The gig, which is being played on July 15 2022, will surpass Fender’s previous largest set at the Utilita Arena, with a 40,000 capacity, according to the singer.

    As part of the announcement, the Seventeen Going Under hitmaker posted a video on his social media channels, saying: “It’s going to be the biggest moment of my life.

    "We can’t even fathom what’s going on right now, but we’re chuffed and it’s going to be the biggest night ever.”

    General sale tickets will be available from 9am on December 17 2021 from Ticketmaster. It is not yet clear how much tickets will cost.

    Pre-sale tickets will be available from Wednesday December 15 to those who fill in a pre-sale form on Fender’s website.

    Anyone who fills in the form will be sent a link on Tuesday evening with a code to ensure they can attempt to get tickets.

    Pre sale tickets are also available through O2 Priority and Live Nation.

    The announcement comes off the back of Fender’s Autumn and Winter tour which saw him headline top venues across the UK including Brixton Academy and Newcastle’s Utilita Arena.

    This is likely to be Fender’s last of what has been a career defining year.

    Having been told to isolate at the start of the coronavirus pandemic, he wrote his second UK number one album, Seventeen Going Under which was released in October 2021 and was also named as NME’s album of the year in addition to further widespread critical acclaim.

    The album’s title track has seen a resurgence in popularity since the initial release and has been a mainstay in the top UK singles charts’ top 40 throughout November and December.

    Finsbury Park will also be hosting a large George Ezra set over the summer of 2022.
