GBBO 2022 - Contestant applications now open - it’s over to you London

There is every possibility that the 2022 Great British Bake Off is in London right now.

The fifth series of the show better known by some as ‘GBBO’ or ‘bake-off’ went out on Channel 4 on Tuesday evening.

Many had tipped 26 year-old Londoner, Crystalle Pereira, to be crowned champion but a rather unfortunate mistake during the final task meant it was virtually impossible for her to win.

Crystalle eventually finished in third, with Will Chirag ‘Chigs’ in second place and that left Italian Giuseppe Dell’Anno who claimed the top prize.

The company who make GBBO for Channel 4 are now in the hunt for contests in London and other parts of the United Kingdom to take part in series six in 2022.

Applications are now open and the deadline is at 7.59pm December 4, 2021.
