West Ham’s expected starting XI against Sevilla: Three changes and a formation tweak

West Ham will host Sevilla at the London Stadium hoping to overturn a 1-0 deficit from the first leg.

The game is the biggest since the club returned to the Premier League, as the victor will reach the Europa League quarter finals.

It’s certainly the biggest game the Hammers have played at the new London Stadium and they will have the backing of 60,000 fans packed in to power the team home

If they’re victorious they would become the first English side to beat Sevilla in the Europa League.

The Spanish visitors are experts in the competition, having won it a record six times, but their form since the turn of the year hasn’t been that mighty with Julian Lopetegui’s side winning only four of their last 12 games in all competitions.

One of those was the hard fought win against the Hammers at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.

The Hammers meanwhile warmed up for the game with a good 2-1 win against Aston Villa in the Premier League, and will be hoping to keep their fairytale European run going.

Manager David Moyes has huge injury concerns for the game, with in-form forward Jarrod Bowen ruled out and forward Michail Antonio was seen training on his own at the club’s Rush Green training base.

There are also concerns over the availability of Aaron Cresswell and Nikola Vlasic, making the game tight to call and nervy to watch for fans.

Sevilla come to London with so much experience and something to hold on to, add that to the mounting injuries and it makes for an interesting spectacle.

So with the Hammers’ season hanging in the balance here is how we expect the experienced David Moyes to set up his team and try and make it through.
