West Ham fans are in dreamland after the currently brushed aside Spanish outfit Sevilla to set up a mouth watering tie against Ligue 1 side Lyon.

The Hammers went into the tie trailing 1-0, but got back on level terms thanks to a strike from Tomas Soucek.

The game looked to be heading for penalties before Ukrainian winger Andriy Yarmolenko struck just eight minutes from time to put West Ham into the quarter finals.

Fans of the East London club will now be scouring the internet for the cheapest and most direct routes to Lyon from London.

West Ham will host the first leg of this Europa League quarter-final knockout tie, welcoming the French side to the London Stadium on Thursday, April 7.

The return leg will follow up just one week later, with West Ham playing a London derby away at Brentford before travelling to the Groupama Stadium with a semi-final place in mind.
