West Ham United have reportedly looked into deals for two defenders today.

It has been a quiet transfer deadline day of the Hammers after what has been an eventful window for the London club.

Bringing in a full-back has been partially on the agenda today but it appears David Moyes will be taking the players he currently has in his squad up to January with him, despite the likes of Harrison Ashby and Craig Dawson being heavily linked with exits.

West Ham moves

West Ham apparently made an enquiry about the availability of former Chelsea and Fulham right-back Ola Aina at Torino, as per a report by the Daily Mail.

However, the Nigeria international will not be heading back to England and will be staying in Italy.

That may have forced the Hammers to look elsewhere and according to reporter Sacha Tavolieri on Twitter, they have failed in a pursuit of State de Reims defender Thomas Foket (see tweet below):

The Belgium international has been playing in Ligue 1 since 2018 after rising up through the youth ranks at Genk.

West Ham picked up their first win of the campaign away at Aston Villa last weekend and built on that with a 1-1 draw at home to Tottenham Hotspur last time out.

They have brought in eight signings this summer and although they haven’t been able to bring in anyone else on this final day, it has still been a successful past few months for Moyes’ side and they were wise to get all their business done before today.
