Scammaca, 23, will undergo his medical tomorrow ahead of a proposed £30.5million move, as per The Athletic.

He is set to become David Moyes’ fourth signing of the summer behind Alphonse Areola, Nayef Aguerd and Flynn Downes.

More details

Scamacca will provide West Ham with more competition and depth in attacking areas ahead of next season, assuming the deal gets over the line.

He will arrive in London with a spring in his step after firing 16 goals in all competitions last term.

His current club snapped him up as a youngster back in 2017 from PSV and he had loan spells away at Cremonese, PEC Zwolle, Ascoli and Genoa before breaking into their first-team.

He is 23 so has the potential to develop in the future and he will provide solid competition with Michail Antonio up top in the next campaign.

Other news

West Ham-linked Dwight McNeil has emerged on the radar of Newcastle United.

The winger is facing an uncertain future with Burnley after their relegation to the Championship.

The Sun report Eddie Howe’s side may turn their attentions to him instead of Leeds United’s Jack Harrison now.
