West Ham transfer news: Irons ‘close to agreeing personal terms’ with striker, Arsenal ‘growing in confidence’ over £30m swoop

West Ham were in pre-season friendly action again over the weekend against Championship outfit Reading.

David Moyes’ side led 1-0 early in the second-half after Nikola Vlasic’s header, only for the Royals to level things up on 68 minutes.

Next up for the Hammers is a trip to Ibrox on Tuesday to face Rangers.

Winger Jarrod Bowen is excited for the match against the Glasgow giants and has said, as per West Ham’s official club website:

“We’ve got Rangers next and I’d have preferred it to have been the Europa League final!

“But to go an historic stadium against a massive club – it’ll probably be full as well – will be a good game to play in and a good atmosphere too.”

The game against Rangers is another chance for Moyes to test his players against solid opposition ahead of the start of the 2022/23 season.

First up for the Hammers is a tricky home clash against champions Manchester City.

They have played three friendlies now against Servette, Boreham Wood and Reading. In addition to Rangers, they have games versus Luton Town and Lens still to come.
