Watford target Ryan Porteous from Hibernian is reportedly yet to decide on his future. The centre-back has been linked with a few clubs below the border this winter.

According to the Daily Record, he ‘could yet’ see the season out at Easter Road and leave in late June. His contract expires at the end of this campaign and he is due to become a free agent.

The report adds that Blackburn Rovers have tabled an offer, whilst any potential switch to Watford is ‘more likely’ to be a pre-contract deal meaning he would link up with the Hertfordshire outfit in the summer anyway.

Slaven Bilic could see the 23-year-old as a useful long-term option in defence. The Scotland intern has been on the books at Hibs for his whole career to date and has made 156 appearances for the Edinburgh club in all competitions, chipping in with 13 goals from the back.

Other clubs have been credited with an interest in him over recent times as well. The Scottish Sun reported that Hull City were keen last month.

Elsewhere, former Watford winger Gerard Deulofeu could be heading back to England soon. Birmingham Live say Premier League side Aston Villa have ‘enquired’ about his availability.
