Tottenham Hotspur star Ben Davies has reportedly caught the eye of the Turkish Super Lig giants Galatasaray.
The summer transfer window maybe shut in the United Kingdom but for Turkey, there are five more days until they can conclude their business with Spurs veteran Davies now emerging as a top target.

Hide AdAccording to reports from Takvim, via SportWitness, Galatasaray are looking to switch their defensive set-up to having five at the back following the arrival of Napoli’s Victor Osimhen on loan, and the Welsh defender is now seen as an ‘ideal candidate’ to play in this format.
Davies, 31, is yet to make an appearance in this season’s campaign. He is contracted to the Tottenham Hotspur stadium until June 2025 but could eye a move earlier than next summer in order to give himself a greater chance at playing. A move now could also mean Spurs can cash in on a deal rather than risking losing him on a free transfer next year.
Takvim have reported that his lack of games so far under Ange Postecoglou have attracted Galatasaray who are ready to take advantage of the situation. The presence of Colombian footballer and ex-Spurs teammate Davinson Sanchez in the Galatasaray dressing room is also set to be used in an attempt to lure the Welsh star away from London.
Davies arrived in London in 2014 on a five-year deal for a fee thought to be in the region of £10m, following two years in Swansea City’s first team. He has gone on to make 330 appearances for the club and has 88 Welsh international appearances to his name. However, since the arrival of the ex-Celtic head coach, the centre-back, who can also play full-back, has fallen down the pecking order with his appearances last term restricted to just 19.

Galatasaray are currently sitting second in the league after three games. They have won all of their fixtures so far in the Super Lig and already have a game in hand over the league leaders Fenerbahce.
