All the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Tottenham as the international break continues.

Tottenham remain in the throws of the international break, with many of their players currently away representing their nations. When they return, Spurs will likely be focused on the Europa League, which is their only remaining avenue to European qualification, though Ange Postecoglou has warned against taking the Premier League for granted.

Spurs are not in action again until a week on Thursday, with the FA Cup taking centre stage this weekend. As the international games continue, we have rounded up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding the North London club.

Kean latest

Tottenham may have a window to seal a deal for one of their reported striker targets. Spurs are going to need to improve their squad this summer having had a disastrous season up to this point.

Spurs have been plagued by injuries, and their lack of depth up top has not helped, with Dominic Solanke having struggled to remain fit consistently, and the same can be said of Richarlison. It’s an area Tottenham are likely address again this summer, having spent close to £60million on Solanke last summer, and reports have linked them with Fiorentina frontman Moise Kean.

Kean had a tough spell at Everton previously, but still only 24 years of age, he has found his feet with current club Fiorentina, scoring 15 times in 26 league appearances. A number of clubs are now said to be interested, and ViolaNews say Spurs, Arsenal and Aston Villa are the clubs with the most serious interest.

It’s added that Kean, who played and scored for Italy in this break, has a release clause of £43.4million, under a long-term contract having only joined the Serie A club last summer. The report claims Fiorentina could move to increase the striker’s release clause with a new contract, but it’s also added that if he doesn’t pen a new deal, he could be sold this summer, potentially giving Tottenham their opportunity, though it’s not clear whether the Serie A side will demand the full release clause or a fee close to it.

What we do know is that Fiorentina boss Raffaele Palladino is a big fan of Kean’s, previously telling DAZN: “Moise is doing a great job for the team; he’s our striker and a leader, not just in possession. He needs to keep going like this because he can still grow. Together with the club, we’ve given him a lot of trust and love, and he’s done well to repay it.

“I’ve been calling him for two years, I tried, and I was very persuasive this year. Credit also goes to the club because Fiorentina have excellent management. I’m happy with Moise Kean and the entire team.”

Bergvall heads home

Tottenham star Lucas Bergvall has been sent back to the club early having failed to pass fit. Bergvall has been struggling with illness of late, though he still linked up with his national side Sweden ahead of their friendly fixtures during this international period.

But Fotbollskanalen report that the decision has now been made by the medical staff in the Swedish national team that he has not passed fit in time for Tuesday night’s friendly with Northern Ireland. Instead he has been sent back to Tottenham to continue his recover, and he now has more than a week to get fully fit before returning to action with Spurs.
