Tottenham expect to have Richarlison fit for their visit to Goodison this weekend after he was forced to withdraw early from their 3-3 draw with Southampton before the international break.

The Brazilian has endured a difficult first season in north London having arrived from Everton following a staggering £60 million deal.

His only two goals so far have come in the Champions League when they hosted french side Marseille earlier in the season. Since then injuries have played a role in his lack of goals but he could yet get a fresh chance against his former side this weekend.

Cristian Stellini who has been made the substantive coach following the sacking of Antonio Conte will hope that he’s able to provide the fresh start that required to see out the campaign and secure desired Champions League football for next season.

They will however have to do it without right-back Emerson Royal who picked up an injury while playing for Brazil over the weekend.

The 24-year-old suffered the freak injury late in their 2-1 defeat to Morocco and despite initial optimism, Tottenham confirmed the defender will have a surgery on his knee and is now likely to have played his last game for the club this season.

The Lilywhites are currently fourth on the league table with 49 points, two ahead of Newcastle in fifth but Eddie Howe’s side have played two games less.
