Tottenham are in the market for a successor to their legendary goalkeeper Hugo Lloris and have identified Leeds United’s Illan Meslier - who is rated £30m - as the man to do the job in north London.
Spurs are eyeing another busy summer where they are looking to plug the gaps in the team and give manager Antonio Conte the best chance of establishing the team as a mainstay in the Champions League and if possible compete for the Premier League title.

Top of the list is Illan Meslier but Everton’s Jordan Pickford is also on there as well as Brighton and Hove Albion’s Robert Sanchez who Chelsea is also looking at.
Last season Antonio Conte worked magic with the squad after leading them to Champions League football despite Arsenal looking the most likely throughout the campaign.
The Italian manager has not signed a contract extension even though he has been impressed with a strong start to the campaign that has seen them qualify to the knockout stage of the Champions League and also stay third in the league going into the World Cup break.

Leeds United escaped relegation last season by the skin of their teeth and a large chunk of that was down to the brilliance of of goalkeeper Illan Meslier.

So it will take something significant to turn heads in Yorkshire if the deal is to go through.
He however fits the criteria that which Spurs are on the look out for: young, Premier League experienced and with his whole career ahead of him.
