They finished 4th last term and can look forward to being in the Champions League again.

Here is a look at the latest news and rumours coming out of the club today...

Target in ongoing talks

Spurs-linked Ashley Phillips remains locked in discussions with current club Blackburn Rovers.

The 17-year-old is being tipped for a bright future in the game but is yet to commit his future to the Championship club.

Rovers’ boss, Jon Dahl Tomasson, has provided this update on the defender’s situation, as per a report by Lancashire Live: “I think the club is having a good conversation with the players, the family and the agent. It is an ongoing process, they have very good contact.”

Swap deal touted

Tottenham have been credited with an interest in a potential swap deal.

The London club are apparently keen on swapping defender Japhet Tanganga as part of a move for PSG midfielder Leandro Paredes.

That’s according to CalcioMercatoWeb, who claim 28-year-old Paredes is a player on Antonio Conte’s radar.

Conte reveals target

It has been a summer of transition at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

They have brought in six new faces with more potentially on the way too.

Conte, who is gearing up for his first full campaign at the helm, has revealed his target for the new season, as per 90min: “My target and the club’s target is to develop the process and it doesn’t mean that if you lift a trophy or win the Premier League or the Champions League, or you get a place in the Champions League, you achieved your target. It means we have to try to develop in every aspect.”
