Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly joined the race to land Sporting Lisbon defender Pedro Porro. The full-back is being linked with the London club ahead of the January transfer window.

According to Jornal de Noticias, Antonio Conte is keen on luring him to the Premier League. However, European giants Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have all also been credited with an interest.

Spurs could see Porro as someone to strengthen his options on the right ahead of the second-half of the season. At the age of 23, he would be a decent long-term option for the London outfit.

The once-capped Spain international signed for Sporting Lisbon in 2020 on an initial loan deal from Manchester City before they made his move permanent earlier this year. He has been a key player for the Portuguese side over recent times and has made 88 appearances in all competitions for them to date, chipping in with nine goals and 14 assists.

He was on the books at the Etihad Stadium for two years from 2019 to 2022 having previouly been at Girona but he didn’t make a senior appearance for the current champions. Instead, he was shipped out to the Estádio José Alvalade to get game time and has since made that his home.
