Glenn Hoddle believes Harry Kane could get his Tottenham wish this season.

Kane has become a club legend in North London, scoring 184 goals, which is the most scored for one club in the Premier League.

But crucially, he has not won any trophies with Spurs, who have not been successful over recent years, at least not when it comes to silverware.

The lack of trophies saw Kane push for a move last summer, but he was denied an exit and went on to enjoy another excellent season.

This summer has been a lot more straightforward, with Kane not pushing for an exit.

He, like the rest of the Tottenham fans, are excited about this season, with Antonio Conte building an excellent squad.

Spurs are back in the Champions League, and many believe they could be Premier League title contenders.

Kane will be desperate to end his trophy drought, and this season could be the ultimate opportunity.

Or at least that’s according to BT Sport pundit and former Spurs man Hoddle, who said: “It was touch and go whether he was going to go last year.

“He wants to be a success and rightly so. he is an absolute legend at the club. We were legends at our clubs and there are photos of us holding trophies on the wall.

“Harry wants that, and he needs that. He is a Tottenham man, and he has the best opportunity, I believe, with this squad, since he has been here.

“Domestic cups need to be a priority as well. Of course, the Champions League.

“But they have a squad now where even their bench is as strong as most people, maybe not Man City or Liverpool, but everyone else.

“They are up there and they compete toe-to-toe, and Harry has a really good opportunity this season.”
