There is also Ivan Perisic, who comes with so much experience, having won the Champions League, Bundesliga and Serie A, and is widely considered a big influence in the dressing room.

Last season, Son Heung-min led with 23 goals and was crucial at the last stage of the season when they were chasing Champions League football.

The South Korean is one of the underrated forwards in the Premier League and his work rate is one of the best.

He compliments Kane superbly, who got 17 goals, which is classed as a poor season for the England skipper.

And since he arrived in the Premier League, only Kane and Son have got more goals and assists than Dejan Kulusevski.

The addition of Richarlison, who is another hardworking forward is an exciting proposition, that will give teams headache throughout the season according to former Tottenham striker Darren Bent.

Tottenham looking to build on strong start

One of the teams that gave Tottenham a battering last season was Chelsea, and the fact that they will get to face them this weekend will give them a chance to measure their progress.

The win against Southampton has lifted the mood at Spurs, and Antonio Conte has had a full pre-season with the team and has been backed heavily by the management.

The new signings and Chelsea’s hesitations in the transfer window has made it an exciting game to look forward to this weekend.
