Brentford player ratings and gallery as Ivan Toney scores but Tottenham claw their way back to earn a point
Brentford picked up a point in a very exciting encounter against Tottenham on Boxing Day.

Brentford saw their 2-0 lead cut back and ended up drawing 2-2 with Tottenham in their first game back in the Premier League on Boxing Day.
Tottenham have now come back from losing position to take at least a point from their last two away games and manager Antonio Conte would have been proud of his team given they looked lost for most of the first half.
The fighting spirit and determination to come back from two goals down is a massive show of their mindset to never give in even if they are goals down.
Vitaly Janelt opened the scoring for Brentford and things got better when Ivan Toney scored the second to crown off what was a very impressive first half display. Ivan Toney in particular was the man-of-the match and he will take some replacing if Brentford were to lose him.
Tottenham came back into it Harry Kane scoring his 10th Boxing Day goal to bring his side back into it, that is a new record for a single player scoring on Boxing Day. Pierre-Emile Højbjerg then made it 2-2 to set up an entrailing last 15 minutes.
Spurs looked like they would snatch all three points but Kane’s header cannoned off the post with Raya beaten in post for Spurs.
Here is how we rated every Brentford player out there:

1. David Raya
The Spanish goalkeeper held on to everything that was thrown at him in the first half. Not much he could do about the goals he conceded- 5

2. Ivan Toney
With a cloud of uncertainty around his long term future with the betting issues, he scored a real poacher’s goal. Was such a handful for the spurs defenders-7

3. Mathias Zanka
Solid and effective. One of the underrated members of the team-6

4. Rico Henry
Started well but then sat too deep as the Brentford form dipped and Spurs came at them-5
