QPR star Ilias Chair has opened up about his experience at the World Cup. The attacking midfielder was part of the Morocco squad that reached the semi-final and he has told the R’s Twitter account: “It was very, very good. It is something that I will never forget in my life. It was very nice to have that feeling to create history and as we all saw, we as Moroccans gave our all and we were really proud to represent our country.

“It was a really good experience, I learnt a lot from training and the senior team and from playing as well. I played against arguably the best midfielder who has ever played the game in (Luka) Modric.”

Swindon Town are being linked with a move for ex-Hoops striker Charlie Austin, as per Sky Sports. The 33-year-old is back in England after a six-month spell in Australia with Brisbane Roar.

Millwall

London News Online report Millwall have accepted two bids for striker Isaac Olaofe from League Two clubs and he is poised to leave in January. Gillingham are being linked with a move, as per Kent Online.

Zian Flemming has been a hit since joining the Lions over the summer and has adapted to life in England with ease. He scored again on Boxing Day and took to Instagram after the game to send the following message (see below):

Watford

Watford have been dealt a blow with key attacker Joao Pedro picking up an ankle injury. His manager Slaven Bilic has provided this update to the club website: “It’s the ankle ligament, and when you lose him it’s obviously hard to find another Pedro in the squad. We’ve just got to hope for the best until we hear more.”

The Athletic suggest Newcastle United have ‘continued to track’ the Brazilian over recent months. However, his injury could change things now.
