Ex QPR, Millwall and Arsenal youngster poised for £68m sale in summer 2025
Former QPR midfielder Eberechi Eze is set to be available for a £68 million transfer next summer amid news that the player's release clause will be reactivated come the end of the current Premier League season.
The Crystal Palace man was linked with a move away from Selhurst Park this summer but nothing came to fruition with the Eagles holding on to their influential playmaker. No clubs met Eze's release clause, which then expired, but the Daily Mail reports that the clause will be active once again next year.

The £68 million release clause is made up of an initial £60 million and then a further £8 million of add-ons - although the report suggests a lower offer could tempt Crystal Palace into negotiations.
Eze has sparkled since making the move to Selhurst Park, managing 11 Premier League goals last season despite various bouts with injuries. The forward broke through at Loftus Road in 2016 and went on to make 112 appearances for the R's, scoring 28 goals and registering 17 assists.
The Palace star had bounced around football academies as a youngster with time at Arsenal, Fulham, Reading and Millwall before arriving at QPR.
Speaking about his rejection from Arsenal in an interview in 2023, Eze said: "I was at Arsenal until I was 13 before I got released and that was very tough to take. Obviously, that was all I knew at that time as a child. I loved football, I loved playing for Arsenal and that was probably built into my identity at that age as a child.

"I was at Fulham for two-and-a-half years and then got released at Christmas. So I went to Reading on trial for half of a year but didn’t get a contract there either. I ended up getting a contract at Millwall but again, I was released at the end of the scholarship two years later. After getting released from Millwall, my confidence was low and you're still trying to find your way. But I ended up signing a professional contract at QPR."
In its report, the Mail claims that there is an 'acceptance' at Crystal Palace that Eze will continue to attract interest from the biggest clubs in Europe this season.
Speaking to Sky Sports following the end of the summer transfer window this year, Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish admitted that he was shocked by a lack of enquiries over the player. He said: "I was really worried from a club point of view of losing Michael [Olise] and Ebbs [Eze] in the same window and we didn't have in Ebbs the interest that I thought we would have.
"I was astounded. Genuinely astounded. I mean, the guy's just an outstanding footballer, an outstanding person."
