Millwall handed transfer 'blow' as Leeds United 'identify' Crysencio Summerville replacement
The Championship season is just around the corner, and Millwall and QPR are now ramping up their preparations. Pre-season fixtures are well underway, with the Lions beating Reading over the weekend, while the Hoops fell to Tottenham.
Both clubs have already snapped up a number of players between them, with Millwall landing three new players, while the Hoops have landed as many as eight. Here we round up all the latest news surrounding the Championship clubs.

Millwall are reportedly set to miss out on a deal to sign Tottenham youth skipper Matthew Craig. According to Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke, the Lions were pushing for a deal to sign the youngster, but they have been beaten to the chase.
According to the report, Barnsley have agreed a deal to snap up Craig and Millwall will now have to look elsewhere as they continue their summer recruitment.
McAteer talks
Cardiff City are said to be interested in a deal to sign Leicester City star Kasey McAteer. According to local Journalist Paul Abbandonato via reported via X, the Bluebirds have been in talks with Leicester following their Premier League return, but it’s not clear whether talks have progressed.
McAteer has made 24 league appearances for the Foxes so far, scoring six times. The 22-year-old was part of the promotion bid last season, but he is likely to struggle for game time in the Premier League as the Foxes look to invest.

Hide AdSummerville attracts ‘fresh interest’
Roma are reportedly interested in a deal to sign Leeds United star Crysencio Summerville. West Ham are said to have made a bid for the Dutchman, but Calcio Mercato are now saying Italian giants AS Roma are also considering a move.
Summerville is expected to move on one way or another this summer, with a reported asking price of £30million. While Leeds face potentially selling Summerville, they are said to be pursuing a possible deal for Crystal Palace wideman Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, according to The Daily Mail. Describing his playing style previously Rak-Sakyi said: "I like to say I'm really direct, I like to take players on, create chances, score goals and get assists. I like to entertain the fans and I enjoy being on the pitch." The winger has a reported asking price of £12million, with Southampton also said to be interested.
