Several of the Premier League’s biggest stars are set to become available on free transfers in just a few months time when their current contracts expire.
Players like FIFA World Cup winning Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, who the Red Devils bought for £80m in 2016, are at the top of that list.
Other players whose deals are due to expire include England internationals Jesse Lingard and James Tarkowski as well as several elite level players from Arsenal and Chelsea.
Here we have taken a look at how a starting XI of London based players, who are set to become free agents this summer, could look.
There is plenty of representation from the Blues and the Gunners while stars from West Ham, Crystal Palace and Brentford also make the list.
Although there wasn’t room for any Tottenham Hotspur or Watford players in the squad it still has a broad representation from across the capital city.
The formation is a 3-5-2 with three centre backs, two holding midfielders, an attacking midfield three and two strikers - so could certainly be classed as attacking!
The team features bags of experience and hundreds of international caps.
Here is our out of contract Premier League XI featuring only players from London based clubs:
1. GK - Lukasz Fabianski
The West Ham stopper recently turned 37 but has been a consistent presence in the Premier League since debuting with Arsenal back in 2007
2. CB - Antonio Rudiger
The German defender is all but certain to leave Chelsea this summer with Real Madrid and PSG amongst the clubs linked
3. CB - Andreas Christensen
Another Blues’ centre back who looks likely to leave Stamford Bridge with Barcelona heavily linked with a move for the Dane for the past six months
4. CB - Angelo Ogbonna
The Italian international turns 34 next month but could still be a useful addition to many top clubs in England and abroad if he leaves West Ham
