East and west meet as another London derby takes place this weekend at Craven Cottage with the Irons set to be without key forward

Fulham and West Ham return to action following the international break in the second of two London derbies this weekend. While Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur battle it out for the north of the capital, the Cottagers and Irons will be fighting over east and west.

The Irons will head to Craven Cottage on the hunt for their second win of the campaign while Fulham will be keen to keep their London rivals at a distance. The two clubs currently sit one point apart in the Premier League with Marco Silva’s squad benefiting from the extra point secured in their 1-1 draw against Ipswich.

The west London club are also enjoying a fully fit dressing room which cannot be said of their east London counterparts with one of Julen Lopetegui’s latest signings set to be out action for weeks after sustaining an injury while on international duty.

Ahead of Fulham vs West Ham’s clash in SW6, here is the early injury news...

Alphonse Areola - Doubt

Lukasz Fabianski is being lined up to face Fulham with Areola continuing to be monitored after sustaining an injury against Manchester City. Two weeks ago it was said he had an issue with his back and is continuing to be assessed.

Niclas Fullkrug - OUT

Fullkrug sustained an Achilles tendon injury while on international duty with the German head coach Julian Nagelsmann saying it was “not yet clear whether he can play” against the Netherlands. It was noted that an injury of that nature is set to need weeks on the sidelines.

Aaron Cresswell - OUT

Cresswell is continuing to struggle with a hamstring injury sustained at the end of August. At the time, it was said of the defender that “unfortunately, he suffered this injury. We don’t know how long he will be out. It was a pity because he was working very hard to have this chance, and unfortunately, he suffered his injury.”

The Cottagers are currently enjoying having a fully fit squad with no injuries or suspension as of Wednesday 11 September.
