Fulham have subverted the expectations of pundits and fans alike this season. Ahead of their game against Newcastle, Marco Silva’s men currently stand sixth in the Premier League table, above teams such as Chelsea, Liverpool and Leicester City - but who will the Cottagers be able to call upon for their top-half clash?

Fulham will definitely miss out on the services of two first team players for the game on Sunday. One of them is out with a long-term injury, while the other is serving a one-game suspension after collecting five yellow cards across the course of the Premier League season.

Despite this, Fulham could see two other first team players making their return to action against the Magpies. Again, one has missed out via suspension, while the other has been reportedly suffering with an illness.

Fulham injury news

Fulham fans will be delighted to learn that Alexsandar Mitrovic will be available to play against his old club on Sunday - he was a Newcastle player from 2015 to 2018. He has served his one-game suspension after he picked up five accumulative yellow cards and has no known injury concerns.

Shane Duffy, Fulham’s veteran centre half, could also play against Newcastle. He has been suffering with a virus and will face a late fitness test - unfortunately, his chances of making an appearance on Sunday look to be remote.

Fulham’s two confirmed absentees for Sunday’s fixture are Antonee Robinson and Neeskens Kebano. The news of Kebano’s absence will not come as a shock to Cottagers supporters, as he has been out since October with a long-term injury.

Robinson, on the other hand, picked up his fifth yellow card of the season in the game against Chelsea. As such, he will serve a suspension for one game.
