Fulham have had an impressive season so far and have until the end of January to bring in some reinforcements. Here is a look at some of the latest news coming out of the club...

Right-back seems to be a position that the Cottagers are prioritising and Arsenal’s Cedric Soares has been heavily mentioned. However, the Daily Mail have reported that his wages are proving to be a stumbling block which has forced the club to look at alternatives in the Championship such as Norwich City’s Max Aarons, Millwall’s Dan McNamara and Luton Town’s James Bree. Southampton have now joined the race for the latter, as per The Athletic. Another potential option in this position is Roma’s Rick Karsdorp, who CalcioMercato claim has been offered to Marco Silva’s side.

Moving into the heart of defence, SampNews24 say Roma’s Chris Smalling and Sampdoria’s Omar Colley have been identified as potential additions. More recently, the London club are said to have made a bid for Rennes centre-back Hamari Traoré, as per FootMercato.

Fulham are well stocked up with options in midfield but have been linked with some attackers. CalcioMercato reckon they like 19-year-old Chicago Fire striker Jhon Duran along with Brentford, whilst L’Equipe report they are targeting Lille and USA forward Timothy Weah along with Brighton and Hove Albion.

On the outgoings front, Anthony Knockaert has already left for Huddersfield Town on loan after his spell at Volos in Greece didn’t work out. Journalist Fabricio Lopes has said attacker Rodrigo Muniz is being eyed by Real Vallodolid and although midfielder Josh Onomah has been linked with Rangers, Football Scotland report the Scottish side haven’t made an approach for him yet.

Reporter Dean Jones has told GiveMeSport that Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on Joao Palhinha: “His consistency is almost unrivalled across the league for players in this position and it is understood that Liverpool and Tottenham are two of the clubs casting an eye over him at the moment. Liverpool had him on their radar even before his switch to Craven Cottage.”

Elsewhere, youngster Sonny Hilton is back at Craven Cottage from his loan at Carlisle United. Ex-Fulham boss Scott Parker has gone to Club Brugge and is managing Denis Odoi again and former player Aboubakar Kamara has gone to Aris on loan from Olympiacos.
