Five players Arsenal could say goodbye to in final game against Everton including captain Lacazette
Arsenal will make changes to the playing body this summer but which of these players will get new deals?
On the plus side, European football will return to the Emirates, and at this stage it does look like it will be the Europa League.
Regardless of what happens, massive changes will be expected at the Emirates with Mikel Arteta and his team already going through player profiles to try and energise his team.
There are players who are hoping to get extensions including Mohamed Elneny and Eddie Nketiah, if the right conditions are met.
Both clearly still love the club, but they want to be able to contribute more on the pitch while current club captain Lacazette has said his decision would be influenced by Champions League football.
It does feel like this is the summer where everything has to come together for Arteta especially if they don’t get Champions League footbal.
He will have to let some players leave even if he likes them and then look to see if he can get an upgrades to help get the club back to where they truly belong.
So with so many changes expected at the Emirates, these are the players who might be saying goodbye to the fans after the final whistle today.
1. Mohamed Elneny
Loves the club and will jump at an opportunity to stay but he is also looking for more playing time which the Gunners might not be able guarantee
2. Alex Lacazette
Club captain has said his decision will be influenced by Champions League football, so interesting to see what he does after Everton game
3. Nicolas Pepe
Still has a year left on his deal but hasn’t played as much as he would like and might look to try his luck elsewhere
4. Albert Sambi Lokonga
Still very young and promising but the fact that he is not playing even with the injury to Thomas Partey will hurt him
