Crystal Palace will make the unenviable trip to Newcastle this weekend, as they look to continue their good form in the Premier League.

Palace were held to a draw at Selhurst Park last night, with Brentford’s Yoanne Wissa cancelling out Wilfried Zaha’s strike.

Zaha then bemoaned his team’s mentality in his post-match press conference, bemused at why his side settled for a single goal lead and didn’t push for the second.

That point for Palace leaves them 13th in the table, and they can leapfrog their opponents at the weekend with a win.

Where are Crystal Palace playing this week?

Newcastle vs Crystal Palace will kick-off at 3pm, with the game being played at the iconic St James Park.

This fixture last season saw The Black Cats won 1-0, as a single strike for Miguel Almiron was enough for all three points back in April.

To comply with the regulation on televised coverage between 2:45PM & 5:15PM on a Saturday, Newcastle and Crystal Palace will not be televised. Further broadcasting rights are restricted for clubs in the UK, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands and Isle of Man.

The rule for no games being televised in this time period is referred to as the ‘3pm blackout’.

The blackout was introduced back in the 1960s, and, despite calls for it to be removed, this is unlikely to happen as it may impact teams lower down in the pyramid in terms of revenue, with attendances likely to fall dramatically.

Still, fans wishing to keep up with the game can still follow it live, as local radio stations may give live coverage.

Alternatively, you can follow the action live on Gillette Soccer Saturday, with Jeff Stelling and his crew keeping you up to date with scores across the UK.

Highlights will also be available on BBC One show Match of the Day, with the show set to air at 10:25pm on Saturday, 3rd September 2022.

What is the latest team news?

Patrick Vieira has no fresh injury concerns when his team head north, with his lineup likely to be the same one that lined up against Brentford.
