They will attempt to address that against Manchester United this weekend, while we also have an all-London clash in the form of Chelsea’s trip to West Ham. In the meantime, we have rounded up all the latest news surrounding the top-flight clubs.

Saka on Arsenal departures

Arsenal star Bukayo Saka misses the players the Gunners sold this summer, with Eddie Nketiah joining Crystal Palace and Emile Smirth Rowe and Reiss Nelson joining Fulham. “Yeah, I’m not going to lie, I’ve missed them a bit you know,” the winger said in an interview with the Men in Blazers podcast.

“Since I came into the first-team they were kind of like my big brothers with the way they welcome me and stuff like that. "When the team wins, there's no loser,” Kompany has said of the midfielder. “All players want to play, there's competition – but I can only line up with 11 players. I really don't want to talk about individual players. I want to talk…”

Slot on Liverpool comeback

Liverpool boss Arne Slot was left thrilled with his side’s comeback win over AC Milan in their Champions League opener. “I said a few times, normally you celebrate your birthday with your friends and family but this was a real good alternative to play against a special club for Liverpool and a special club for Dutch people,” he said.

“The way we won it, 1-0 down after five mins with Forest in our head was very good to see. The way the players took the game in their hands to win it 3-1. I think we were a bit disappointed with the Forest result, getting eight corners and not scoring. We felt with all the work we put in for set-pieces someone would get their reward. We were comfortable on the ball, hit the bar in open play, so we needed set-pieces.”
