Departed Crystal Palace man completes move whilst new name is linked with Selhurst Park switch

New home for ex-Crystal Palace man in the Premier League

Cheikhou Kouyate has signed for Nottingham Forest following his departure from Crystal Palace this summer.

The midfielder has put pen-to-paper on a two-year contract with the Premier League new boys.

Kouyate, 32, left Selhurst Park at the end of June when his deal expired and subsequently became a free agent.

He will now be lining up against his former club with the Reds this season.

Crystal Palace days

Kouyate joined Crystal Palace back in 2018 from fellow London club West Ham United and was a regular over the past four campaigns.

He played 141 appearances in all competitions and chipped in with three goals.

Prior to his switch to the Eagles, he played in Belgium for Anderlecht before a four-year stint with the Hammers.

The Senegal international will now be looking forward to a new chapter in his career at Nottingham Forest and injects some useful experience into their squad.

Steve Cooper’s side have been busy following their promotion from the Championship and need their new look squad to gel together quickly.

They play Palace on 12th November at the City Ground.
