The Eagles were building momentum after drawing away at Newcastle before the game against Manchester United was called off following the deal of Queen Elizabeth II.

The lengthy break has given Vieira the chance to work on the set-piece issues that have been the team’s achilles heels and enough time for players who were carrying knocks to recover fully.

They will however have eight games when the international break is over and it will be non-stop until the World Cup to be staged later this year Qatar.

The Eagles are expected to be in and around teams like Brighton and Brentford who have all enjoyed solid starts to the season.

Games against Chelsea and Everton- who have just picked up their first win of the season are expected to test Vieira’s side, but having taken on Manchester City and Liverpool already, most of the fixtures are expected to yield maximum results for the south London club.
