Wolfsburg defender Maxence Lacroix is expected to be announced as a Crystal Palace player in a reunion with Glasner while all eyes remain on the future of England international Marc Guehi amid reported Newcastle United interest.
There are also loan incomings in the offing in South London with Crystal Palace plotting swoops at Premier League rivals West Ham and Nottingham Forest.
The first potential move is for Hammers winger Maxwel Cornet. The 27-year-old has struggled for gametime since arriving at the London Stadium from Burnley for £17.5 million in 2022 but is proven in the top flight thanks to a prolific stay in the North West.

Southampton had been tipped to be favourites to sign Cornet on a temporary basis but over the last 24 hours Crystal Palace have launched attempts at a hijack. Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has acknowledged those reports but his latest update on Friday suggested that the Saints are in pole position still: "Maxwell Cornet still expected to join Southampton despite reports on Crystal Palace."
Crystal Palace have sold goalkeeper Sam Johnstone to Wolves for £10 million on Deadline Day after the shot-stopper handed in a transfer request. Glasner is in the market for a back-up goalkeeper to support Dean Henderson and that could be Nottingham Forest man Matt Turner, who joined the club from Arsenal for £7 million last summer.
