They responded to that loss with a decent draw away at Liverpool last time out.

Here is how they could line up against Villa....

GK: Vicente Guaita

The Spaniard put in a solid performance against Liverpool but couldn’t do anything about the Reds’ goal.

RB: Nathaniel Clyne

He has started both games so far this season at right-back.

CB: Joachim Andersen

The defender was on the receiving end of Darwin Nunez’s headbutt and is thankfully alright.

CB: Marc Guehi

He unfortunately scored an own goal against Arsenal in the last home match.

LB: Tyrick Mitchell

Like Clyne, he has also started both matches so far this term.

CM: Cheick Doucoure

He has made a decent impression so far having moved to Crystal Palace from RC Lens earlier in the transfer window.

CM: Jeffrey Schlupp

The former Leicester City man provides useful pace and power in the centre of midfield.

RW: Jordan Ayew

He tends to get a lot of starts for the Eagles.

CAM: Ebe Eze

The attacking midfielder will be hoping he can cause Aston Villa some problems as he looks to stamp his mark on the 2022/23 campaign.

LW: Wilfried Zaha

He opened his account for the season with a cool finish past Alisson in front of the Kop last time out.

ST: Odsonne Edouard

Patrick Viera has a decision to make as to who to start up front, with Jean-Phillipe Mateta waiting in the wings as well.
