Crystal Palace player ratings gallery: Four score 8/10 in 1-0 win over Southampton with four getting 6/10

Crystal Palace striker Odssone Edouard scored the only goal to secure all three points against the Saints.

Crystal Palace secured a hard-earned 1-0 win over Southampton thanks to an Odsonne Edouard strike in the first half of the game. The win means Palace have won three Premier League home games on the spin for the first time since 2018.

The Eagles have jumped to 10th on the league table and crucially sign off their last game at Selhurst before the break for the World Cup with a win that will make up for their form away from home this season. Crucially also this was also the first time that Palace had kept a clean sheet at home and will now look to build on from what was largely a positive afternoon in south London.

Left back Tyrick Mitchell who has had a difficult start to the campaign got his first assist and the goal from Odsoone Edouard will lift his confidence in what has been a very encouraging for the French striker.

For Southampton- the defeat ends a run of three Premier League games without a loss which included an impressive performance against league leaders where they held Arsenal to a 1-1 draw- and came into the game with confidence to at least get something from Selhurst.

Patrick Vieira will be particularly delighted with the defensive resistance shown by his side and the fact that they didn’t have to come from a goal down here to win the game. It was a bright day for the Eagles fans, they will now turn their attention to West Ham.

Here is how we rated every member of the team who was out there today.
