Crystal Palace expected starting XI vs Watford- Two changes including a chance for a returning star

Patrick Vieira is likely to make a couple of changes but the core of the team will remain against Watford.

Crystal Palace could be the side which relegates Roy Hodgson’s Watford as faith would have it, but Selhurst is likely to give their former manager a great reception when he takes to the pitch today.

Palace are enjoying a brilliant season with less goals conceded in the last five years despite adopting an attacking style of play.

The Eagles are also on 41 points and will fancy equalling their best ever points tally in the Premier League, they are just eight shy of that with four games to go. Those games include Everton, Aston Villa and Manchester United.

Patrick Vieira said he was hoping this season was the foundation upon which the club can build on for next season and go places.

The Palace boss is happy with the progress made but is not getting carried away as things can change so quick in football.

He said: “We never talk about positions at the start of the season. We knew we’d have challenges with young players coming through but I’m satisfied and really happy with where we are in the table.

“I’m more satisfied with the performances that we’ve had and satisfied too with how our young players have performed. We’re not finished yet as we want to finish the season well.

“There’s a lot more to come from the group of players and the team. We’ll have to keep treating games the same way, keep challenging ourselves to improve and use the season as a strong foundation to keep progressing individually and collectively.”

So with all that he’s said, here is how we expect the Eagles to set including another start for Eberechi Eze who is coming in top form at the end of the season after recovering from a bad injury.
