Crystal Palace expected starting XI: Two changes and Jack Butland decision made against Everton

Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira is determined to reach Wembley and will make changes to his team.

The moment of truth is here and Crystal Palace will attempt to reach Wembley when they host Everton at Selhurst on Sunday lunchtime kick off.

The Eagles have suffered only one defeat in their last nine games and take on Frank Lampard’s team who won their last league game against Newcastle United.

The win lifted the gloom at Everton and gave them new hope coming into the game, as they had to dig deep and fight on with 10 men against Eddie Howe’s Newcastle side.

For Palace, it’s about continuity, they produced a resolute performance against Premier League champions Manchester City and a repeat of that similar energy levels should see them book their ticket to Wembley for the semi-finals of this year’s FA Cup.

The South London side have been boosted with the return to training of right back Joel Ward while Will Hughes who missed the draw against City due to Covid is back.

There is however a little concern with energetic midfielder Jefrey Schlupp, who has worked his way back into the team has to sit this one out because of accumulation of yellow cards.

This game also comes too soon for Nathan Ferguson and James McArthur, both still have various degrees of pain in their legs but there are hopes they could be back after the international break.

Crystal Palace have been lifted with news that two of their players Conor Gallagher and Marc Guehi, have been called up for England, that is proof that the results are coming and players are getting reward for their hard work and consistency.

Vieira has warned that they will have to produce their best performance if they are to reach Wembley, so with the game on a knife edge, here is how we expected the Eagles to line up.
